Consumer Confidence Reports
Consumer Confidence Reports or CCR’s are an annual requirement regulated by The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR). In order to provide the public with safe and adequate drinking water, we must adhere to the regulations and standards that have been put into place.
The two main sources of water on our planet are Surface water and Ground water. Surface water consists of the water we find in rivers, lakes, oceans & reservoirs. Ground water consists of the water that we pump from the ground through wells. Naturally, this water may contain contaminates such as bacteria from humans and animals or harmful minerals like uranite and nitrate but, more commonly from pesticides and fertilizers. Consequently, these end up in the water supply.
MoDNR requires routine monitoring and testing of the water system once the water goes through a purification process to make sure those levels, if any, are at the minimum allowed by your states Department of Health’s regulations.
Yearly, Jefferson County Public Sewer District must provide those test results to the public. Click on the link below to view a copy of your subdivisions CCR.
