JeffcoPSD Customers,
Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our world. For JCPSD, that means understanding how it effects our customers, communities and employees.
We provide an essential service that is critically important, and we have established a preparedness plan for our services. Then making the necessary adjustment to our work and operations.
JCPSD continues to monitor situational updates provided by the Center for Disease
Control, World Health Organization as well as local government agencies. We are continuing to evaluate the situation and latest development to determine how we can change measures as necessary to support our customers and employees.
It is important for you to know that JCPSD’s drinking water provides disinfection of our ground water sources. These treatments are effective in removing and/or inactivating viruses. Our water meets all current federal and state drinking water requirements.
To keep our customer safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, JCPSD will be placing a moratorium and discontinuing service shut off at this time. We will continue to evaluate the moratorium as more information becomes available. To benefit the health and safety of our customers and our employees we are suspending all nonessential field appointments and we will limit the amount of contact with our customers during field emergencies and our customer service desk.
If you have any questions, please call first before coming to the office.
Thank you for your trust in JCPSD as we continue to provide safe, reliable, and affordable drinking water and wastewater services.
Best regards,
Douglas S. Bjornstad, P.E.
District Manager
